Many deafblind people have congenital complete deafness. Most often, the main and natural means of their communication is sign language.
Deafblind people in everyday life and when receiving various services must communicate with people who do not know this particular means of communication – sign language. For example, when visiting a doctor, receiving banking services, healthcare-rehabilitation lectures, conferences etc. In such cases, a sign language translator can help with communication.
For the moment the Organization provides sign language interpreter services to deafblind people in 4 cities: Tbilisi, Batumi, Telavi and Zugdidi.
We provide this service in cooperation with the Union of the Deaf of Georgia.
